Ken is a lifelong meditator and was certified by the Institute of HeartMath as a Resiliency Trainer. He has studied MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) with UMASS Medical School and the Center for Mindfulness.
His approach is scientifically based, employing techniques to increase awareness of the body through mindful sensation, awareness of the mind and the inclusion of Emotional Intelligence.
HEARTmyMIND customizes individual Wellness Plans which start with a neurofeedback assessment using the latest HRV (heart rate variability) technology. These techniques benefit practitioners by decreasing the negative effects of stress, using a variety of mindfulness skills to increase the powers of attention, resilience, compassion and overall happiness. Some of the clients who benefitted most from his training and coaching are those suffering from stress-related influences such as anxiety, depression, memory loss, PTSD, chronic pain, and addiction. I am a lifelong teacher and meditator but still struggle with meditation more than I would like. It sounds funny to hear myself say that outloud, but it's true.
